What are examples of catastrophic injuries?

Well, the American Medical Association defines catastrophic injuries as significant injuries to the spine, spinal cord, or brain. It could include skull fractures. I would add to that list, any significant injury that causes the loss of the function of a limb, or important bodily function such as eyesight or hearing. A family that has suffered such an injury needs a lawyer who is experienced in dealing with catastrophic injuries in the court system, and I would add to that a lawyer who is compassionate about his client’s situation and who will fight relentlessly to maximize the family’s recovery in that situation.
