Alachua, FL (May 9, 2020) – Before 1 p.m. today, numerous emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a serious car crash at an Alachua intersection.

Police confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of Millhopper Road and Northwest 143rd Street.

Paramedics immediately responded to the scene of the collision where they assisted those with injuries. However, the conditions of those involved are not yet known. It is believed that the victims were hospitalized.

The scene of the accident was quickly cleared and traffic resumed as normal.

At this time, the investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
