Callahan, FL (July 10, 2020) – Early this morning, a hit-and-run accident took place at an intersection in Callahan.

The accident, according to police, took place around 8:38 a.m. at the intersection of US-301 and Blessed Way when two vehicles collided with each other. One of the vehicles was making a turn at the intersection when it was struck by a second vehicle.

The vehicle responsible for the accident immediately fled the scene of the collision. Police did not confirm if they caught the responsible driver.

There were injuries reported as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

There was no roadblock in the area and traffic returned as normal.

No further details have been released but the investigation is currently ongoing.
