Jacksonville, FL – Injuries Reported in Car Accident on I-10

Daytona Beach, FL – Fatal Collision in WB Lanes of FL-400

Daytona Beach, FL (July 19, 2020) – This afternoon, a fatal collision was reported on a major highway in Daytona Beach.

Though the circumstances of the accident are still being investigated, it is believed that the collision involved two or more vehicles and took place in the westbound lanes of FL-400 around 12:43 p.m.

Multiple fire vehicles, paramedics, and law enforcement crews were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident, which blocked all lanes of traffic in the area for a period of time.

It is not known if anybody was injured as a result of the accident but at least one person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicles involved were severely damaged as a result of the accident.

It took police over an hour to clear the scene so that traffic could resume as normal.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
