Fruit Cove, FL (July 6, 2020) – Around 12:15 p.m. this afternoon, a fatal truck accident involving a tractor took place in Fruit Cove.

According to police, the accident took place when a tractor and a milk truck were traveling west on Race Track Road around the area of Bishop Estates Road. For reasons that are not yet known, the truck struck the tractor from behind.

The tractor immediately tipped over, which killed the driver of the tractor immediately. An older lady at the scene attempted to give the driver CPR but was unable to save him.

The driver of the milk truck continued onward and into the wrong lane of traffic, where the driver then struck a tree. The driver was alert and not seriously injured.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
