Gainesville, FL – Car Accident at SW 122nd St and SW 8th Ave Intersection
Gainesville, FL (July 20, 2020) – This afternoon, Gainesville authorities were dispatched to the scene of a serious car accident at an intersection.
The accident happened at 2:21 p.m. when two or more vehicles forcefully collided at the intersection of Southwest 122nd Street and Southwest 8th Avenue. The vehicles involved sustained severe damages as a result of the accident. A wrecker was called to the scene to remove the vehicles from the roadway.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were quickly dispatched to the scene where they helped those with injuries. It is not known how many were injured but victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The scene was cleared in a short period of time and traffic resumed as normal.
No further details have been provided but the investigation into the accident continues.
