Hawthorne, FL (July 29, 2020) – Around 8:41 a.m. this morning, a hit-and-run accident with injuries took place at a Hawthorne intersection.

According to local authorities, the collision took place at the intersection of US-301 and 72nd Place when two vehicles collided with one another, one of which immediately fled the scene after the collision. Police did not say if the party was caught or if they are still searching.

Numerous responders, including paramedics, were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. They assisted those with injuries, though the extent of the injuries is not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area only for a short period of time.
