Jacksonville, FL (July 17, 2020) – Last evening, a car crash occurred at an intersection in Jacksonville that led to injuries.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the collision around 5 p.m. where they found that at least two vehicles collided at the intersection of Lennox Avenue and Old Middleburg Road. The crash happened for reasons that are not yet known.

Numerous emergency responders were called to the scene where they assisted those in need. There were numerous reports of one patient who was stuck inside one of the involved vehicles. Fire crews worked to free the victim, who was extricated within minutes.

Those with injuries were immediately treated at the scene and then hospitalized. It is not known how many were taken by ambulance.

The roadway was closed down in the area of the intersection as police worked to reopen the roadway.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
