Jacksonville, FL (July 15, 2020) – Last night, a car crash took place at an intersection in Jacksonville that caused severe injuries to one victim.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place at 8:11 p.m. when two vehicles collided. The crash took place for unknown reasons at the intersection of Oakleaf Village Parkway and Merchants Way.

One person was trapped in their vehicle due to the collision. The patient was extricated from their vehicle by fire crews and transported to the hospital for treatment.

Numerous responders were present at the scene of the crash and assisted with injuries. The roadway was blocked for a period of time in the area.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
