Jacksonville, FL – Hit-and-Run Accident with Injuries on FL-23
Jacksonville, FL (July 18, 2020) – This afternoon, authorities were dispatched to the scene of a hit-and-run accident with injuries in Jacksonville.
The crash allegedly took place around 3:30 p.m., according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Police confirmed that two vehicles collided with one another on a major highway.
Police were initially dispatched at the scene of the accident, which took place on FL-23 in the area of Argyle Forest Boulevard. One of the vehicles struck the other and then fled the scene of the accident. It is not known if the police found the party responsible for the accident.
Injuries were reported in one or more victims in the vehicle that was struck by the other driver. The extent of their injuries is not yet known but the parties were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police were able to quickly reopen the roadway. Their investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
