Jacksonville, FL (July 24, 2020) – Early this morning, a serious hit-and-run accident with injuries took place in Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the accident around 9:34 a.m. this morning when two vehicles collided at 2631 University Boulevard. The crash took place around the area of the River City Landings Apartments at Liddell Lane. Two vehicles collided after entering the intersection at the same time. One of the vehicles then fled the scene.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident. They assisted those with injuries, though the extent of the injuries is not yet known. It is believed that one or more victims were hospitalized as a result of the accident.

Police did not confirm if they were able to catch the driver responsible for the accident.

The roadway was quickly reopened after the damaged vehicles were removed from the scene.

Police continue their investigation into the collision at this time.
