Jacksonville, FL (July 31, 2020) – Early this morning, injuries resulted following a serious car accident on a highway in Jacksonville.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at 9 a.m. on a major highway. Police reported that multiple vehicles collided for unknown reasons in the westbound lanes of I-10. The accident led to serious damages to the vehicles involved.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident where they assisted multiple victims with injuries. One or more victims were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes while police worked to clear the scene of the accident. This led to extensive delays in the area.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
