Jacksonville, FL – Officer Injured in Car Accident on FL-115
Jacksonville, FL (June 28, 2020) – Around midnight this morning, an officer was injured in a car accident on FL-115 in Jacksonville.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one of their officers was involved in the accident, which took place on the highway between a police cruiser and a passenger vehicle.
The other vehicle was allegedly headed onto the highway when it collided with the police cruiser for reasons that are not yet known.
The officer and the other driver were both taken to the hospital. The officer is expected to be okay, while the other driver suffered life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
