Jacksonville, FL – Several Hospitalized after Incident on Baymeadows Rd
Jacksonville, FL (January 6, 2020) – An incident involving carbon monoxide exposure sent eight victims to area hospitals with injuries.
On January 3, emergency crews rushed to the scene of an incident in the 9700 block of Baymeadows Road.
Reports indicate that a carbon monoxide leak set off the alarm in the Baytree on Baymeadows apartment complex at approximately 4:15 a.m.
Several victims, including 3 adults and five children, were injured due to the carbon monoxide exposure. All eight victims were rushed to area hospitals with carbon monoxide poisoning.
Police believe the cause of the exposure was due to a charcoal grill.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
