Jacksonville, FL – Swimmer Injured in Boat Accident on Trout River
Jacksonville, FL (May 16, 2020) – This morning, police and rescue crews responded to a boat accident involving a swimmer on the Trout River in Jacksonville.
According to fire crews, a swimmer was in the river when he was struck by a boat propeller. His leg became trapped.
The call came in around 4:30 a.m. Multiple people worked to keep the man’s head above water while crews worked to free his leg, which they were able to do after a period of time.
The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
