Jacksonville, FL – Woman Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on 103rd St
Jacksonville, FL (May 18, 2020) – Around 9:30 p.m. last night, May 17, Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash in Jacksonville.
Police confirmed that the victim was a 38-year-old woman who was thrown off the back of a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was identified as a 43-year-old man who was also thrown from the motorcycle and suffered from life-threatening injuries.
An 18-year-old driver was traveling west on 103rd Street at the time of the accident. He turned onto Ricker Road with his sedan, which cut off the motorcyclist. The motorcycle slammed into the sedan on the right side.
The woman was initially taken to Orange Park Medical Center after being thrown from the motorcycle. She died from trauma at the hospital. The driver is still listed in critical condition.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
