Satsuma, FL – Car Crash With Injuries at CR-309 and 1st St
Satsuma, FL (July 17, 2020) – Early this morning, a car crash with injuries happened at an intersection in Satsuma.
The accident, according to police, took place when two vehicles were headed toward the intersection of CR-309 and 1st Street from different directions. As one of the vehicles turned at the intersection, the other collided with it. Both vehicles sustained heavy damages as a result of the collision.
Satsuma authorities were dispatched to the scene around 10 a.m. Numerous other responders were also dispatched such as fire crews and paramedics to assist those with injuries. EMS crews helped one or more victims with injuries, though their exact conditions are not yet known. The victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Due to the extent of the damages, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been provided but police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident at this time.
