St. Augustine, FL (May 19, 2020) – Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that a child was seriously injured in a head-on collision at a St. Augustine intersection.

The crash allegedly took place at the intersection of FL-207 and Lightsey Road when the driver of a pickup truck was headed in the wrong direction and crashed into a passenger vehicle.

A mother of three and her children were inside the passenger vehicle. One of the young children received critical injuries and was taken to Wolfson Children’s Hospital for treatment. The others were taken to Flagler Hospital with injuries as well.

The roadway was closed down at the intersection for a period of time following the accident.

Police continue their investigation.
