Car Accidents in Florida
Florida holds one of the highest rates of car accidents leading to injuries in the entire U.S. This means that drivers are supposed to watch out for one another due to the fact that accidents could easily result in serious injuries. The Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Department estimated that over 200,000 people were injured in car accidents in one recent year within the state. These accidents commonly occur when drivers do not have their full attention on the roads around them, are engaged in intoxicated driving, or are speeding at the time.
