Jacksonville, FL (April 17, 2020) – Around 2:45 p.m. this afternoon, a serious hit-and-run crash took place on I-295 around the area of Lem Turner Road.

Jacksonville authorities responded to the accident, which took place in the southbound lanes of traffic and blocked several lanes of the roadway for a period of time. There, they found that two or more vehicles collided with one another.

The damages to the vehicles were excessive and serious injuries were reported to the parties involved in the accident.

The driver responsible for the crash fled the scene of the accident and it is not known if police were able to catch up with them.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
