St. Augustine, FL – Woman Killed in Fatal Crash on State Rd A1A
St. Augustine, FL (March 15, 2020) – Yesterday, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal crash on State Road A1A in St. Augustine.
Police confirmed that a 20-year-old woman was driving her Kia Soul and started to exit the roadway when she suddenly collided with the front of a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The motorcycle lost control and ran over a raised curb after being struck. It went into the grass median.
The passenger on the motorcycle was identified as Jolleen Ford, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was identified as 47-year-old Shane Bingman, who was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
