Jacksonville, FL (January 23, 2020) – Around 5:30 p.m. last evening, January 22, police responded to the scene of an intersection accident in Jacksonville.
Police confirmed that two or more vehicles collided after entering the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard (US-17) and Collins Road.
The vehicles involved were badly damaged after colliding in the southbound lanes of the roadway. All lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time while police worked to clear the scene and authorities urged caution in the area.
Paramedics and other emergency responders assisted multiple parties with injuries. It is not known if any were transported to the hospital.
At this time, the investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
