Jacksonville, FL (April 11, 2020) – Around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, a serious car accident took place on a major roadway in Jacksonville.

Few details are known concerning the accident but police have confirmed that the accident took place in the northbound lanes of I-295 around the area of Lem Turner Road.

The accident took place when two or more vehicles collided on the Interstate, leading to severe damages in the vehicles involved. Numerous emergency responders, including paramedics, were present at the scene. Injuries were reported but the conditions of those involved are not yet known.

That portion of the roadway was closed down for a period of time.

Police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
