Lake City, FL (July 2, 2020) – This morning, police responded to the scene of a hit-and-run accident with injuries in Lake City.

According to authorities, the collision took place in the westbound lanes of I-10 around 10:52 a.m. There, they discovered that one vehicle was struck by another that then fled the scene.

Police have not yet said if they caught the driver who fled the scene of the crash. There were injuries reported in the victims who remained at the scene of the accident, though their conditions are not yet known.

Paramedics transported the injured victims to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
