Jacksonville, FL (November 17, 2019) – In the early morning hours on Friday, November 15, police responded to a serious collision on I-95 after the Phillips Highway area.

Police did not comment on the exact circumstances of the collision but believe that three or more vehicles were involved in the accident, which took place in rainy conditions. One vehicle, a white sedan, was badly damaged on the passenger’s side after being struck by another vehicle. It is believed that the accident was a chain-reaction collision.

Paramedics assisted the injured victims but their conditions have not been released.

Two lanes of traffic were blocked for an extensive amount of time after the collision so that authorities could work to clear the scene. This caused heavy delays in the area for those traveling through the area.

No other details have been released but the investigation is ongoing.
