Fernandina Beach, FL – Injury Crash at 8th St and Amelia Island Pkwy
Fernandina Beach, FL (July 17, 2020) – Early this morning, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Fernandina Beach.
Authorities started to receive calls around 10:49 a.m. this morning. When they arrived at the scene of the collision, they found that two vehicles collided forcefully at the intersection of South 8th Street and Amelia Island Parkway.
Numerous emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident where they assisted those with injuries. The extent of the injuries is not yet known but it is believed that two or more victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Wreckers were present at the scene of the accident where they towed damaged cars from the scene. Police worked diligently to reopen the roads. Traffic returned to normal within the hour.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision is ongoing at this time.
