Jacksonville, FL (May 22, 2020) – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a car accident on a major highway late this morning.

According to police, the accident involved multiple vehicles and took place around 11:23 a.m. Police confirmed that the accident took place in the westbound lanes of I-295 headed onto Wilson Boulevard.

The vehicles involved were badly damaged due to the collision. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries, though their exact conditions have not been determined.

Police quickly cleared the scene and there were no further delays in the area.

At this time, the investigation into the crash continues.
