Jacksonville, FL (May 31, 2020) – Duval County authorities responded to the scene of a car accident on a major highway in Jacksonville this morning.

Police confirmed that the accident took place around 7:47 a.m. when two or more vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of I-95. The vehicles involved in the collision were badly damaged due to the accident.

The accident was so severe that the right lane of traffic was blocked for a period of time, leading to extensive delays in the area. Paramedics were present at the scene to assist those with injuries. The extent of the injuries is not yet known.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
