Jacksonville, FL – Car Crash on FL-9A Near Heckscher Dr
Jacksonville, FL (May 18, 2020) – Around noon today, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and numerous other responders were called to the scene of a car crash on a major highway.
Though few details have been confirmed regarding the accident, police confirmed that multiple vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of I-295 near the area of Heckscher Drive.
Fire crews, paramedics, and numerous other emergency responders were also present at the scene of the accident. EMS crews actively assisted those with injuries, though the extent of their injuries is not yet known.
There was a roadblock issued in the area for a period of time but police were able to quickly open the roadway so traffic could resume as normal.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing at this time.
