Jacksonville, FL (May 5, 2020) – This morning around 11 a.m., authorities were called to the scene of a car crash on a major highway in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville authorities responded to the collision in the northbound lanes of I-295 near the area of Lem Turner Road. They discovered that numerous vehicles collided with one another. The vehicles were severely damaged due to the collision.

Numerous emergency responders including fire crews and paramedics were present at the scene. It was determined that one or more victims were injured as a result of the collision but the extent of the injuries is not yet known.

The roadway was quickly reopened in the area.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
