Jacksonville, FL (July 13, 2020) – Around 10 a.m. this morning, police were dispatched to the scene of a hit-and-run accident in Jacksonville.

Few details have been released but the accident allegedly took place when two vehicles collided on FL-9A around the Monument Road area.

One of the vehicles involved in the accident fled the scene of the accident. Police have not yet confirmed if they caught up with the responsible party as of yet.

Paramedics were present at the scene of the accident, as injuries were reported in one or more victims who remained at the scene. Those with injuries were transported to the hospital.

The northbound lanes of traffic where the accident occurred were quickly reopened.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues at this time.
