Jacksonville, FL – One Injured in House Fire on Galveston Ave

Jacksonville, FL (June 3, 2020) – This morning around 2:17 a.m., one person was injured in a house fire that took place on Galveston Avenue in Jacksonville.

Police and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene of the fire, which took approximately 20 minutes to completely put out. The home was destroyed as a result of the fire.

One victim who was attempting to get to safety fell and broke their leg and sustained other injuries related to the fire. They were pulled out by a neighbor. The victim was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment.

It took forty firefighters to put out the fire.

The investigation continues at this time.
