Jacksonville, FL – Hit-and-Run Crash on FL-9A Near Dames Point Bridge
Jacksonville, FL (July 3, 2020) – Around 5 p.m. this evening, police responded to the scene of a hit-and-run crash on a major highway in Jacksonville.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that the collision took place in the eastbound lanes of FL-9A at the beginning of the Dames Point Bridge. Two vehicles allegedly collided, with one fleeing the scene of the accident.
Paramedics and other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident where they assisted those with injuries. Police did not confirm whether or not they were able to catch the responsible driver.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
