Jacksonville, FL – Injuries Reported in Vehicle Collision on FL-9A
Jacksonville, FL (December 26, 2019) – Around 4 a.m. on the morning of December 23, police responded to the scene of a vehicle collision on FL-9A in Jacksonville.
The accident, according to police, took place north of I-95 and involved two or more vehicles. One vehicle was spun around in the crash and resulted in severe front-end damage after colliding with a guardrail on the side of the road.
The accident completely blocked the right lane and police urged vehicles to stay to the other side of the roadway so that first responders were able to get through. There were slick conditions in the morning hours, which are believed to have contributed to the accident.
Paramedics treated at least one or more victims at the scene of the accident. The extent of their injuries is not known.
There were extensive delays throughout the morning. Police worked diligently to clear the scene.
No other details have been provided but the investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
