Jacksonville, FL – One Killed in I-95 Crash Between Car and Semi-Truck

Jacksonville, FL (July 4, 2020) – A man died in a crash on I-95 in St. Johns County on Friday, July 3rd. The crash happened just before 3:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95. 

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to troopers, a semi-truck and a sedan were both traveling northbound on I-95 when the sedan collided with the rear-end of the semi. The 26-year-old driver of the sedan was killed in the crash. The man was identified as a resident of Tallahassee. The 32-year-old truck driver was not injured in the accident.

The northbound lanes of I-95 were closed for several hours while investigators worked at the scene. Motorists were urged to find alternate routes of travel.
