St Augustine, FL – Car Accident at FL-16 and Whisper Ridge Dr Intersection

St. Augustine, FL (July 16, 2020) – This afternoon, authorities and numerous other responders were present at the scene of a car accident in St. Augustine.

According to police, the accident took place around 2 p.m. when two or more vehicles collided at the intersection for reasons that have not yet been revealed. The crash happened at the intersection of FL-16 and Whisper Ridge Drive.

All of the involved parties were able to exit their vehicles by themselves, though the involved vehicles were badly damaged due to the force of the accident. Wreckers were present at the scene to remove the vehicles from the roadway.

Paramedics, fire crews, and other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. EMS crews helped those with injuries, though their conditions are not entirely known at this time. It is believed that one or more parties were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for approximately one hour while police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
