Jacksonville, FL (January 9, 2020) – Around 6 a.m. this morning, a serious five-vehicle collision took place in the eastbound lanes of FL-115 in Jacksonville.
Police confirmed that the accident occurred when five vehicles collided in a chain-reaction collision on the Matthews Bridge.
According to authorities, multiple victims were injured in the accident. As of this time, the extent of those injuries is not yet known. Paramedics were seen assisting multiple victims.
Police closed part of the bridge down so that they could clear the scene. Their investigation is currently ongoing.

The accident, according to authorities, took place in the southbound lanes of the highway and completely blocked the left lane of traffic.
