Yulee, FL (July 8, 2020) – This afternoon, authorities were dispatched to the scene of a hit-and-run accident that took place in Yulee.

The accident happened around 12:29 p.m. when two vehicles collided at the intersection of SR-200 and Gene Lassere Boulevard, with one fleeing the scene immediately afterward.

Those who remained at the scene of the accident were injured due to the accident. Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene and took injured parties to the hospital for treatment.

The roadway was blocked only for a short period of time but quickly reopened by police. It is not known if the police caught the responsible driver.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
