Jacksonville, FL – Fatal Motorcycle Accident on I-10

Jacksonville, FL (January 16, 2020) – This morning around 1:47 a.m., a fatal motorcycle accident took place on I-10 when a motorcycle and SUV collided in Jacksonville.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision took place in the westbound lanes of the highway. The motorcyclist was allegedly thrown after the accident.

The 30-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. There were two people in the SUV but neither had reported injuries.

That section of the road was closed down for approximately 5 hours following the collision.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
