Middleburg, FL – Pedestrian Accident at Blanding Blvd Intersection
Middleburg, FL (December 15, 2019) – Last evening around 7:40 p.m., the Florida Highway Patrol announced that a serious pedestrian accident took place at a Middleburg intersection.
Police claim that the accident took place in the area of Blanding Boulevard and County Road 218 in Clay County.
The Highway Patrol stated that a 21-year-old man from Middleburg was headed through the intersection when he was struck by a Chevrolet Volt.
The man was immediately transported to the Orange Park Medical Center with critical injuries. The driver of the Chevy, identified as a 52-year-old man from Middleburg, was not injured. He told the police that he did not see the pedestrian.
The man has since been charged for the accident. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing.
