Duval County, FL – Accident on US-1 Results in Injuries
Duval County, FL (July 29, 2020) – A vehicle crash in Duval County sent at least one person to an area hospital for treatment of injuries on Wednesday. During the morning hours of July 29, patrol officers from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles responded to the site of a collision on US Highway 1 near the area of Philips Highway South.
Reports provided by officers with the Florida Highway Patrol show that a collision involving motor vehicles took place on US Highway 1 for unknown reasons. The crash resulted in delays throughout the area as crews worked to aggressively clear the scene. At least one person involved in the collision was rendered aid at the scene. An undisclosed number of victims were transported off-site to local hospitals for treatment. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
