Hilliard, FL (November 11, 2019) – This morning at around 3 a.m., police responded to the scene of a car accident with injuries at the intersection of US-1 and Henry Smith Road in Hilliard.

Police have commented on what led up to the collision but have said that all northbound lanes were closed down due to the accident and the subsequent investigation. Emergency first responders were present at the scene including paramedics, fire crews, and police.

Police urged those in the area to find alternate routes until the scene was cleared. They were able to move vehicles off the roadway within hours.

Paramedics assisted those with injuries but police have not confirmed how many were injured as of yet.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
