Jacksonville, FL – Fatima Thomas Killed in Fatal Collision on I-95
Jacksonville, FL (April 14, 2020) – Around 1 p.m. yesterday, April 13, a fatal collision took place on I-95 on the Fuller Warren Bridge, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident took place when two vehicles collided with one another in the southbound lanes of the highway.
Police discovered that a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling behind a Saturn. The Saturn slowed down for reasons that are not yet known, causing the Chevrolet to strike it in the rear-end.
Both vehicles spun out, blocking the southbound lanes of traffic.
The driver of the Saturn, identified as Fatima Thomas, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. There was a passenger in the Saturn who suffered from minor injuries.
The driver of the Tahoe was also injured.
Charges are pending against the driver of the Tahoe at this time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
