Jacksonville, FL (July 23, 2020) – This afternoon around 1:30 p.m., a car accident with injuries took place in Jacksonville.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-10 around the Stockton Street area. It is believed that multiple vehicles collided with each other for reasons that are not yet known.
Numerous emergency responders including fire crews and paramedics were present at the scene of the accident and assisted those with injuries. The extent of their injuries is not yet known, though it is believed that numerous parties were hospitalized as a result.
Police confirmed that the roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police quickly reopened the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the circumstances of the accident is currently ongoing.
