Jacksonville, FL (April 22, 2020) – Around 7 p.m. last evening, April 21, a car accident took place on a major highway in Jacksonville.

Police confirmed that the accident took place in the westbound lanes of I-295 when multiple vehicles collided with each other near the area of Duval Road.

Numerous emergency responders, including Duval County authorities, fire crews, and paramedics, assisted at the scene of the accident. Paramedics helped those with injuries.

The accident closed down a portion of the highway in the area for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation is currently ongoing.
