The accident took place when multiple vehicles collided around 7:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-295. The collision took place around the area of Normandy Boulevard.

Paramedics responded to the scene of the accident to assist those with injuries. It is believed that one or more victims were hospitalized due to the accident.

The left lane of traffic was blocked for a period of time but police quickly cleared the scene so that traffic could resume as normal.
