Fruit Cove, FL (June 20, 2020) – Last night, June 19, two people were injured in a head-on crash at an intersection in Fruit Cove.

According to police, the accident took place when a police cruiser and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of SR-13 and Greenbriar Road.

The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that the deputy and the driver of the pickup truck were both injured and taken to hospitals. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The roadway was blocked in both directions at the intersection for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
