Jacksonville, FL – Car Crash Involving Officer at Normandy Blvd Intersection

Jacksonville, FL (May 22, 2020) – Around noon today, a patrol cruiser was involved in a car crash at a Jacksonville intersection.

The accident, according to police, took place between a passenger vehicle and a patrol car around 12:04 p.m. at the intersection of Normandy Boulevard and Cassat Avenue. The vehicles involved were highly damaged as a result of the accident.

Numerous emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene where they assisted those with injuries. The conditions of those are not yet known.

Police closed down a portion of the intersection for some time following the collision.

At this time, the investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
