Jacksonville, FL (November 5, 2019) – Last night around 7:40 p.m., a car crashed into a home on Port Arthur Road in Jacksonville that led to injuries.

The accident took place when a man was driving 70 mph when his Chevy Camaro was driving along and suddenly ran off the road, causing it to strike a home. The accident destroyed the living room and left two injured.

The 54-year-old driver, who was identified as an attorney, was driving east when he suddenly went through an intersection and went off the road. The Camaro ended up going airborne over a ditch and traveled through a fence, when it slammed into the home.

Police said that the driver, who was physically impaired at the scene of the collision, was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition. The vehicle smashed through the home in two different places, completely destroying the living room and most of the downstairs.

There were two people in the home at the time of the collision. The woman was sitting in the living room when the vehicle plowed in the home right in front of her, leaving her with a broken foot and cuts. Her boyfriend was in another room and is fine.

The investigation of the accident is ongoing at this time.
