Jacksonville, FL (April 11, 2020) – Around 10:31 p.m. last night, April 10, Jacksonville authorities responded to the scene of a fatal accident.

Crews confirmed that the collision took place in the eastbound lanes of I-10 around the area of Cassat Avenue.

One of the vehicles involved in the accident rolled over. One person was trapped in the vehicle and one person was ejected as a result.

Police confirmed that one person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident while another was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Numerous lanes were closed down at the scene of the accident. Various emergency responders assisted at the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
